After the two Voodoobeats events, Voodooculture marked the first larger phase of independently organized party series. The focus was deliberately on underground techno beyond commercial club formats. Harder, more uncompromising sound was at the center — an approach that was rare in Bremen in this form at the time.
The first season moved through several locations: from Modernes to Tower and later Neue Welt. The long running times deep into the morning were a defining part of the concept. Many events continued until at least 11 a.m., creating an atmosphere that clearly differed from typical club nights.
